My freshman year…

If you could relive one year of your life, which one would it be?

Its a Monday morning and your brother in law texts you to let you know he’s on his way.You think to yourself while laying in bed what he meant. But then you remember that its a Monday morning and school starts in 30 minutes. You hurry and put on your clothes then rush to the door with your backpack in hand.Your brother in law finally arrives and you jump in the car,”school starts in 12 minutes” he says. You reply with a simple,”yeah, yup”and begin the drive to school.Along the way you see the kids who are going to be late walking and those who care are running. You think to yourself I should be grateful that I have a ride to school. You finally arrive at school and the bell is close to ringing theres a few minutes left.Ding Ding Ding!Everyone’s in their seats and the teacher is taking roll call.Such was my freshman year of high school right here in Sanger,CA.My freshman year was the best because I made friends that would last a lifetime and grew bonds with teachers and students.I even felt depressed the year after, when my English teacher had to leave. The reason I truly enjoyed my freshman year of HS was due to a program I was in called NJROTC.All the fun stuff happened during my time in NJROTC.Me and my friend named William who is now in the NAVY would do about 200 pushups or more. The program was awesome,we would do community service events and help people. At other times we were doing farmer’s markets and people appreciated our help. This is why if i could go back in time and relive one year it would be my freshman year of High School.

I even have a photo of me and my friend participating in the farmer’s market event…here it is.

My friend Willy is in the sunglasses and Im in the white shirt next to him.

This was my best year of high school due to all the friends and bonds I had formed and I wish I coild relive it once more. But that gets me thinking that life was given to us to live it to the fullest. At all times we should live in the present and enjoy moments like these.Thank God for life itself!
